Exam Requirements

 

Yellow Belt
Attendance:

• Minimum 25 classes in 4 months.

Exercise:

• 25 High jumps.

 

• 25 Situps.

 

• 25 Front raising.

 

• 25 Side raising.

 

• 25 Side situps.

 

• 25 Knuckle tips (Students under 13, girls, ladies & gents over 35 can do the pushups)

 

• Among the stomach exercises taught in the Karate class, four types of exercises will     be examined each exercises 25 times.

Katas:

• Kata takuyoku shodan.

 

• Kata takuyoku nidan.

 

• Kata takuyoku sandan.

 

• Kata heian shodan.

 

• Dachchi kata.

Kumite waza:

• Kiyaku tzuki waza.

Kumite:

• Ipon kumite.

 

Green Belt

Attendance: • Minimum 25 classes in 4 months.

Black Belt I st Dan

Attendance: • Minimum 60 classes in 8 months.
  • Must attend the black belt training in the head office.

• 26 Kilometres running
  • 100 High jumps

  • 100 Front raising
  • 100 Side raising
  • 100 Side situps
  • 100 Knuckle tips
  • Among the stomach exercises taught in the Karate class, four types of exercises will      be examined each exercises 100 times.

Katas:

• Students must perform all the previous belt syllabus with bunkai.

  • Students should know how to handle the classes.
  • Students should know how to judge the Kumite and Kata.
  • Students must finish the St Johns ambulance first aid course.
